There are couple of reasons, and 3 key ones are as below .
1. The safety feature .
Bricks are more inclined to fall in areas subject to earth tremors, leading to higher death rates and injuries folliowng an earthquake. They are also less efficient in holding heat in the winter and cool in the summer unless the walls are “double bricked” with insulation between the two brick walls.
2. Speed and cost
1 m² of bricks is slower to lay compared with other big size block like the ceramic wall panel .
1 m² of bricks cost about 3 times compared to use other big size block like the ceramic wall panel, including the longer time, more labour cost, more building materials like the mortar .
3. Lost of resources
As we know, to produce the bricks, some raw materils are needed, like the coal mine, the mud, much water etc., much more resources are needed .
4. Environmental Pollution
Waste gas, solid waste, etc.
